Indeed, Double Yikes!!
Brewster11, from my experience, own 1 of each, not a knockoff but marginally similar in that they both bottom load and eject, besides being pumps the similarities pretty much end there. Bottom load/eject was my main impetus in obtaining these pumps, looking for a repeater that would eject straight down into the boat and not over board like the 870 does. The BPS does that with authority the M37 still kicked some hulls overboard and IMO is way too light & delicate for a water/boat gun, at ~1lb lighter more of an Upland gun IMO.
My BPS is quickly becoming a favorite waterfowl gun, built like a tank and by some folks opinion's weighs as much as one but I like the #7.3 heft that slows the gun down, smooths out the swing in chop and absorbs a nice amount of recoil. And a side bene; also works well as a paddle rowing the layout boat over to the tender while the crew is picking up dekes...which is nice.... |

Yes putz463, bottom ejection make for a good partner in a crowded blind. No chucking hulls to the guy on your right.
My BPS has yet to see any ducks but quite a few grouse... |
