Hello Bill;
As you know I took the Browning DBA to the Flat water. Ash Goodwin did not miss a target with it .
As I said before a dumb ole hillbilly had never built a barrel for a recoil operating autoloader before .
That dumb ole hillbilly had done a couple of thousand gas operated autoloader platforms.
Well that dumb ole hillbilly never thought about it any slid the barrel in place eased the bolt down position the front lug and soldered as I have done so many times before .
Well LLL. A recoiling type platform has to be slammed forward into battery to achieve proper position for front lug .
At the Flat water it made a nice single shot .
Since that error the ole girl was unsoldered reposition with the bolt slammed forward into battery and resolder .
Amazing how that approximately .5 of additional traveling affected the operation of an autoloader.
Love that Autoloader , but with SXS and O/U to shoot who wants to chase hulls .
Also it will not function the 1/2 oz loads , 5/8 yes but unless it's the really hot 1/2 , no dice .
Regards Nick |

I am soooooo thenkful to hear this
I just finished the set of barrels for one of my Remington 3200
They perform well, except they are choked full and full, so
now I have to decide whether to ream the chokes or have
installed screw in chokes.
It will be a dedicated target gun as it is heavy.

I am late to this one. Was the Browning double auto made in other than 12? |

Nick did a conversion of a 12 to a 16ga . Only one there is .... I'd be OK if it liked 5/8 and handled those Nick . Probably can't feel the gun go off ! |

just talked to Nick this past week . The status of that gun was on the tip of my tongue , but didn't come out ! We always have a pile of stuff to discuss in a short period of time ! Next call I'll get at it ... |

Don’t forget the Twentyweight!
I used to have a Twelvette. Sold it and them picked up a Twentyweight two barrel set. Absolutely love it. I don’t say that about anything but SxS and M12s. |

Just talked with Nick , remembered to bring up the gun . Said he shot it only occasionally , needed to LOCATE it again and pump a few rds. thru it . This would be an AWESOME Pheas gun !! |
