I am using a Competition Electronics Pro-Chrono. They aren't all that expensive, but the one I have is absolutely reliable with almost no bad readings. For some very heavy loads with lots of powder you do need a baffle at times, to negate the muzzle blast.

Glad you like the thread. I know that single base propellants get expensive and that dense ball powders are available and newer technology, but the Vihtavuori powders seem to be more available and with the current price increases aren't anymore expensive. I will be doing more with Vihtavuori powders as soon as things warm up a little and Tom Armbrust can get back to testing. I want to try N310 in the 12 gauge for some 7/8 and 1 oz. loads.

Another load that I have tried with N320. This one is not published so use at your own discretion. Ran through my 1100 with no hiccups. I will use it this weekend for the final week of the 5 Stand League. I will probably send a load similar to this one to Tom Armbrust in a few weeks.
