With my American Select supply dwindling, tried to make up some Titewad loads for my preferred speed (1350-ish).
These might be good for someone who prefers 1200, no pressure testing so use at your discretion, Titewad is a fast burning powder:
Herters Cheddite
CH209
13.5 gr Titewad(measured)
DR16
2 - 28 ga Nitro cards
5/8 oz #9 magnum (Heper-out of the 9000 w/ adjustable charge bar)
6 pt crimp
1182, 1206, 1207, 1195
Av 1198. Es 25.71. Sd 11.66
I meant to make 5, but made a mess and was running out of time to get to the club. My recent load has been basically MSM’s American Select load with a nitro card & 5/8 oz of shot. Decent pattern with open chokes, though I am working modified chokes currently. I’m saving the rest of my AmerSel for my warm-up 3/4 oz loads prior to matches.
I welcome any thoughts or suggestions. |

BPI 5/8oz TiteWad data suggests a drop in the low 20's with a different wad gets you in the high 1500-low 1600 10.5+k range.
If I were looking for what you are (1350) I'd split the difference and send a few in for testing. |

Thanks putz. I have used their 3/4 oz data before with good results, but again with a different wad. I'll bump it up a grain and see what happens on the chrono, and if I get decent numbers I'll send it in for testing. |
