I am looking for a recommendations for German shorthair breeders. I am in Oklahoma but am willing to drive to neighboring states for a puppy. I will not ship. Let me know if you have someone you would buy another puppy from! The puppy will be used for Bobwhite quail and pheasants.

Thanks for your time,
James

I've bought a couple of GSP's from John Prince in Pittsburg, KS that were both doing it all at 6 months of age. The latest one qualified for the Gundog Championships the last two years. Both dogs have been hard charging dogs with great noses that live to hunt birds. Both dogs have been easy to handle around the kennel and don't have a mean bone in their bodies. The picture below is my latest Prince dog, Dan on point. Head high and solid as anyone could ask for.

My dad was very fond of the GSPs that he got from Black Point Gundogs, but UP Michigan is probably farther than you would want to travel.

John Prince trained my shorthair as a 1 year old pup. I’d have no reservation buying one from him.

He posts videos to his Facebook page fairly often.
