Need source for drop-in thin recoil pad for standard 16 ga Citori circa 2007. Simply need same size & thickness and fitment to substitute for existing useless fragile black plastic buttplate (what is the point of it??) which is major annoyance during skeet matches. Would prefer same screw fitment, I can shape sides down if necessary but would rather not have to. Please specify part number if possible.

Another one of those unicorn searches as Browning never has made enough 16's for another company to tool up to make a run. They would lose money.

However you could call Browning and see if this one would work

51 BST81003AA RECOIL PAD, .60" (INFLEX2) the bolded is the part nbr

It is a little over a 1/2 thick though (a little over 3/32 more than a half inch thick).

You could also call them and ask about the recoil pads on the 16 ga Hunters (Grds 1,2 and Deluxe). They have a thin recoil pad as opposed to a plate.

Much appreciation DR for the info. I called Browning parts, who responded with a firm negative. An aftermarket grind to fit pad is the only option. I’ve done a couple before, but it’s yet one more project to add to the list. Maybe I’ll just fashion something quick from an old boot or a used truck tire.
