Any one else on here shoot Baikal 16ga sxs , my son traded in his Bruin la treige 16ga a few years back and really missed his 16ga , then Ivythorn sporting in Somerset England had a Baikal up for sale with all money going to Marie Currie cancer nurses as Steve the owners father had passed away to cancer , any way my young boy got the Baikal sent over here through Crawfords Country Sports, Andy in there is the man, Anyway my young boy has got on really well with his cheap Baikal in 16ga and I'm just wondering if anyone else has had good success with one , my dad's mate had a Baikal single barrel 12ga when I was a young boy and he did good with it on bolting Rabbits from our Ferrets but that's another story .
Let me know if any of you rate the USSR Baikals .
I'm not a big fan but someones get on good with them .
Hope to hear from you WJ.

FWIW---These are the equivivalent of a Kolar/krieghoff in Russsia.I had a CZ Ringneck very well made only problem was out of an I/C-Mod bbl it threw rifle/improved rifle patterns.

My sons friend had one of the Baikal o/u as his first gun it was a reliable gun but heavy and a bit clunky, he is a light made up young kid and I think the Baikal wasn't best gun for him as a field gun, he traded it last week for a really nice Spanish Aramberri side lock ejector SXS , they had it our dor a test run today, my brother in law was having problems with Pigeons in a cattle shed so they visited it today , think they scared them off anyway and my son got one with a Greener GP which I thought was great as he was reading WW Greeners book this week, Greener was definitely very knowledgeable man and made some of the best guns .
Best wishes WJ.
