I've had the big for a 16ga OU for years. Last March I tried to vaccinate nyself against a $2500 gun by buying a CZ Teal 16ga OU. It is a GREAT gun, I love it! Shooting more 25 straights with it than any gun ever owned!
Well, my innoculation plan didn't work, I kept hankering for a nice one. Drcook kept posting info on Brownings available, and I broke down!
Gun is supposed to arrive TODAY at local FFL.
I didn't really know much about gun when I bought last week. After looking on Browning site with the UPC code, I found that I got lucky, gun is what I wanted. Here are some specifications:
28" barrel with 3x Invector chokes
6 lb 15 oz or so
Silver nitride receiver, polished blued barrels
Grade III / IV wood
Engraved hunting scene
Should be good for hunting carry at just under 7 lbs. And also good for skeet, as I use 7/8oz at 1200 fps, pretty light.
Unfortunately I have to leave on a 4day business trip today, won't be able to see gun and pick up until 4th! Gaaaah, I wants it now!

I wouldn't have kept at you if I didn't figure out what you really wanted. The Grd 3, minus the wood, is what I would have bought, had they been out when I got mine.
Not bragging just stating the fact as I am finally where we could afford a couple, bought a Grd 1 (for $1500.00 new, that I am bragging about !!!), the Grd 2 from Cabelas on a closeout, and my wife bought me a lightly used White Lightning from Jaquas, all in 16ga.
I knew what the specs for the 1 & 2 were/are and read what you kept posting, so I kept looking and looking. IT (I was a systems consultant with 28 yrs experience) is easy for me, and I keep changing the way I phrase searches and keep looking until I find a really great deal.
I knew that Grd 3 at the price you got it for would finally scratch that itch.
Now all you have to do is get a set of extended chokes. The ends of those barrels are thin. The Grd 2 that I got from Cabelas had been bumped, I didn't know that. WHen I found it, I had to machine a close tolerance plug to remove the dent and make the barrel back round again.
I posted the links at the best priced place(s) to purchase them. Would you like to see what the ends of the barrel looks like with the particular extended chokes I bought ? |

| I have a set of 5 16ga invector comp n chokes. They fit my 1987 Auto5 perfectly, so I think they should work well for this gun too hey? |

I forgot that you said that when you asked about the choke type. Sorry. Old age is terrible (actually not that old, going to be 70, but I look in my 50's).
HOWEVER
CRS is a terrible disease.
