In the Gun Library I saw two FAIR 16ga. O/U's $2000 Plus
there was a Model 37 Ithaca Pump with a poly choke for $249.
Didn't see many other 16 gauges.
They had a lot of Model 12's but I wasn't interested so Didn't look to see if any were 16's. |

Hey mtjim:
You must have gone last night to the contractors reception??? I heard it was a real free-for-all. A couple friends told me that they ran out of some guns and gave rain checks at the counter. I also heard some of the outfitters talking about the wild group of contractors
MUCH more civilized tonight with his Honorable TR Carr (Hazelwood Mayor) and Cabela's CEO present to cut the ribbon and oversee the party. I had a good time - checked out the 60 and 90 lb Alligator Snappers and did NOT buy a thing.
I did not see any Model 12 16s. The biggest dissapointment - NO RGL 16 ga (boxes or flats). Drat, I had the truck and was prepared to buy 10 more flats since I bought out the Springfield store several weeks ago.
I will be going back real soon..... |

No, I went to the Club Members Preview - 9-9 on Wed.
It was pretty tame.
I could not get out of the store without buying something.
Just had to have one of the Benelli Ultra Light's.
OK so it's a 12 ga. - but it only weighs 6 lbs. !!!! |

after the Dundee store opened, they had a great supply of decent M12's and the prices were reasonable.
Once the company when public, the quality dropped and prices rose.
I had my eye on a M12 16ga (of course) about 85% finish, when to put it on lay-away, it was sent to Minnesota for an auction.
Now all you see in the used rack are the Bennelli Rem, & Mossbergs autoloaders.
Some red label in SS for a chunck of change. |

I also went the opening week. Didn't buy a thing and I even had $450 worth of free stuff from my Cabelas credit card. I saw very little in the line of 16 gauge amminition. What I did see, I could buy cheaper locally. Just no bargains. I seem to do better for 16 gauge ammunition at the Gander Mountain store in Kentucky. They often carry Federal, Fiocchi and Busmuth. |
