I am the proud owner of what is labeld on the barrel as a KruppscheFluss-Sthal-Laufe 16 gauge shotgun. It was brought from Germany at the end of the second world war. Trying to find out more about it and its value.
And yes, I still shot w/ it

Interesting gun. The heavy engraving is pretty typical German style. I'd agree that the name is almost certainly that of the owner. "Fluss stahl" simply means fluid steel, as opposed to Damascus.
What would be more helpful--maybe--in telling you more about the gun would be shots of the barrel flats, where there should be additional proofmarks. |

Agree with Larry, interesting gun, but MAN! Those photos ate me up! Locked me up twice when I tried to view them. Anybody else have trouble? Ain't goin' there again!!  |

| Looks like the gun was made for or at least owned by Dr. Oelze of Leipzig, seems odd it wasn't engraved Ölze. Agree that additional proof mark photos might help in identification. |
