Made my morning! Laughed out loud...really.

Plus a couple of espressos at home.
Blew-off work and took
a 2 hour drive to Cabelas in Wisconsin with my best friend.

I bought a bunch of boxes of Bismuth 5's , 6's & 7.5's. 16ga and some 20ga too.
I'm starting to worry about Bismuth in the future. Although the shelf was full.

The drove back to 150 shots at Sporting Clays with Polywad 16ga Vintangers with the Merkel 1620. Sunshine and 78 degrees.

Why can't every day be like this day??

Happy Labor Day.

Cause if every day was like this, there'd be nothing to remind us how the non 16 ga shooters have to spend every day of thier unenlightned life Embarassed Embarassed

Sunday was like that for me. Shot well, got a new toy, laid in some more shells, had a hell of a sandwich, and the Cubs rallied to win. Later on watched "The Great Escape." Great old movie.

Geez, I can remember when a great day involved double Bombay Sapphire martinis and as many tawdry women as I could meet.

Good god, I'm getting old and dull! Confused

Shooting a 16 ga is sort of like fly fishing. There really is no advantage. I just like doing it. Certainly you can catch more fish with live bait or using a casting rod, but fly fishing is more fun to me. Certainly you can break targets or kill birds with any gun or gauge. It is just fun using a well ballanced 16.

I believe that if there were previously no shotguns in the world and someone tried to design such a weapon that threw the most useful ammounts of shot and also handled the best, that designer would come up with the 16 gauge. And Mr. Scolari has a pretty good point about the fun factor too. Very Happy
