Just a reminder...Grouse and pheasant season are right around the corner.
IMO this is a very nice gun for the money. I am offering a Charles Osborne, serial number 83817. As I mentioned the barrels are 30", choked F/F with no dents, dings or pits. The LOP is 14 7/8" (14 1/4" to wood and a 5/8" leather faced Silvers pad) with a 1 1/2" drop at comb and a 2 1/2" drop at heel. See the pictures, if you have any question please feel free to drop me an email: msland@mc.net The price is $2500.
Reproof done prior to 1954--no "tons" mark. You would not see a date stamp on a reproof from that period.
Sometime in its past an owner had swivels installed. Whoever removed the posts did a nice job filling the holes. You really have to see this gun in hand, the pictures make it look worse than it really appears.
Great to be aboard the 16ga. Society,

This is one of the tougher things I've had to watch.
Can only pray my ship comes in soon enough. |
