Excellent suggestion. I do not have short chambered doubles unless you include a 2" 12 gauge I have but I use 2&1/2" 12 and 16 gauge Kent shells in 2&3/4" doubles because of the fiber wads instead of poly shot cups. It is not too difficult to order a flat of this type of shell.-Dick |

I certainly wish the 2 1/2 inch loads were more readily available on the shelf and we would not be discussing this.

Shooting oddball cartridges is appealing to me in and of itself. Yes, the downside is you have to be responsible for your ammo supply. A complaint voiced over and over on this forum during the time I have been lurking here is the difficulty in locating 2 3/4 inch 16 gage shells! |

| Lurk around Dick's Sporting Goods if there is one close to you. At the beginning of the season they stock Rem's at the best price I could find and they used to get a discount on a flat. The problem is that there are others that have the same information so you have to be quick and purchase a lot!_Dick(I have no connection!) |
