Just got back from my trip to SW Minn pheasant hunting thought I would give alittle up date. Went with my four best friends...me,myself, I, and the wonder dog Max. We just hunted public land.Tthe first day it was very warm the wonder dog wasn't happy but he did have his moments. The last day it was much cooler and very windy made for some tough hunting. Saw lots of birds I ended up shooting 7 times to get my 6 birds I actually probably would have only had to shot 6 times but I wanted to "anchor" the one bird a fired twice at. The 16ga 525 was a pheasant killling machine. I was shooting IC/Mod chokes withe 1 1/4 oz #6 shot hand loads and they were just folding the birds up. The last two roosters I shot ended up being a true pair.....two shots two roosters couldn't ask for a better way to end the trip. The more I shoot the 525 the more I like it.

Hang on to anything you can shoot well with a death grip and put it in a closet if you get a hankering for something else , you can always go back to it when the new wears off if the new doesnt work,
Glad you had a great hunt , post more about your hunt we would like to hear more about this and future hunts .
Regards Charles |

Dennis.
How have you been? Part of the reason I got the 16ga 525 is I liked the 12ga I got from you so much. I actually use the 12 to shoot skeet I got my first 25 with it this summer and I shot a bunch of 24's. I guess I'll probably just hang on to it and try and wear it out! Have you been out pheasant hunting at all? Hows your 16ga 525 been treating you ?
Take care
