I had to go to my local sporting goods store to replace the heater head on my propane shop heater. While I was there I spotted some ammo on a shelf system with sale stickers on it. I finally get to the bottom shelf and lo and behold there was some old 16 guage ammo. Remington rifled slugs and buckshot loads. The best part was each box of 5 was a whopping $2.50. So I grabbed two handfuls and headed for the checkout.
The buck shot box says it contains 12 pellets. The slugs are hollow point. Suddenly my two corn shuckers are looking a bit more versatile. I can't wait to hit the range and see how these things pattern, yippie!
I might have to go back and get some more, I doubt it's gonna run off the shelves...  |

I just done the same thing.
I found several older, still ok in my book, boxes of 16 field loads.
Now my problem, all I have is my Dad's old A-5.
I need a good 16 gauge hunting gun, like a BPS Upland or a Citori.
Any Ideas?????
His is fine, I just hate to drag it around where I want to hunt. |
