Thor my 2 year old American water spaniel first pheasant hunt. All of his birds were shot with a 16 ga. model 21 using # 4 and 5's lead shot. His breed is a little known flushing spaniel that make great flushing and retreiving dogs.

Great looking dog, I'd say you've got a good partner there...

Beautiful photo of a great looking dog. From your grin, it looks like you had a great time and are justifiably proud of your dog.

I bet it takes a week to get that grin off of your face.

Well done.

Edwin:
It looks like Thor did a great job on his first pheasant hunt, and that the boss liked the results. Congrats.........

Hi again, I see what you mean about how similar the 2 breeds are after finding a Boykin web site. The Boyken is unheard of here in Idaho and the AWS are rare dogs. My dog came from MN where they are more common. Thor , the 9 month old Britney and I were going chucker hunting tomorrow morning, but I broke a tooth eating the last of the small mouth bass in the freezer. It is off to the dentist with check book, rather than carrying a 16 ga. 21 following the dogs. Thank you for the interest in my little dog and I enjoy talking to you over the site, Ted

Ahh, another Water Spaniel. I lost my curly brown (AWS) partner of 10+ years last summer. He was the hunter, I just performed mop-up chores. You're a lucky guy with a 2-year old. Enjoy!
