Chukars on a game preserve in Mid-Missouri where I live. This was after the wild bird season was over and I was trying to get in a couple of more outings for "Patch". |

Looks like you had a great time.
What is the breeding of your Llewellin? |

I thought there was something familiar about your dog. I have had two Llewellins sired by old Ashly, one was spectacular the other was well pretty good. My Current dog traces his linage back the Dr. Bickers lines in Floyd's Knobs, Indiana where Al King got old Ashley. I hope you have as many memorable years with your dog as I had with mine. |

No offense to me, I like posts about our dogs. Tough to engage in serious upland hunting without them, although some do quite successfully. Watching them work is what the game is all about to me. I like to get them something for their efforts, but it does not need to be a limit.
I have a male Ryman setter that is maturely quite well. Already looking forward to the opener and it is less than 6 months away.

mtjim,
Don't worry about the dog stuff. There are many on here that really enjoy pooches and pics of same.
I've got 2 Drahthaars, commonly known as The Girls.
I wish I could get out for 1 or 2 more preserve hunts but recent shoulder surgery won't allow it. In fact I may even miss the better part of the fall season this coming year.
Anyway, keep us posted on patches' progress. |
