Old Hipshot had a great time. Good weather, great company. Pretty good chicken fried steak.
Only problem I had was showing up with three doubles. By the time I had the first figured out, I switched to the second, and then the third, and still couldn't hit anything. Then, there were six barrels to clean tonight.
Count me in for the next one.
Happy trails,
HHH |

OK, here we go- with suggested captions for some...
Hey Brent, check out this belt buckle BTW- wanna buy a watch?
How many 16 gaugers does it take to put a gun back together?
TX Shootist. He had his hand in his pocket a lot as the penalty was 2.00 for each missed bird. Rocky had to stop by the pawn shop.
Contrary to his self-deprecating remarks, Jim busted a bunch of birds
The telephone poles forced you to focus on the target. Guess you'd call this a Texas imitation of Arkansas flooded timber, without the water.
A Flatwater preview- an out of focus happy face with a rack full of SxS's
Winchester's idea of case coloring- brand new AA's, right outa the box:
This little "bat" gave everbody fits
A few pics of target presentation and aquisition
Rocky waited a loooooong time to try to take this one bird. When we suggested he wait a little longer, he finally broke it- then told us what he thought of us. I was shocked, and do not intend to associate with him for almost a week.
The motley crew, from left: Rocky, Jim, Marc, Brent, Andy, and yours truly

Mike mentioned a rack full of doubles. I believe that we had the following represented:
- Baker
- Beretta
- Fox Sterlingworth
- Ithaca
- Parker
- Ruger
There were others; what did I leave out?

A good time was had by all !

G'morning Post Oak,
Well, we could have a "pump 16" or "single barrel 16" outing next time. I have one that I have not shot yet. I know that Marc has one also. Might bring out some of the guys who don't have a double.
I have my MEC set up for reloading the emptys from yesterday; don't want to get caught short.
Happy trails,
HHH |

Thanks for the invite, guys - had a ball.
I've come to the conclusion that I might be able to hit more birds if I can somehow quit giggling during my gun-mount at the sound of Poastoak and Wingshooter's inventive banter. Never before have shotgun barrels appeared quite so rubbery |

Andy, you don't want to hit more birds and shame the rest of us, do you? |

Brent was shooting pretty well- when his gun stayed together. |

My gunsmithing skills went totally unappreciated. Wait till I get my Elsie! I'll show you how to break a REAL shotgun!
Who broke that high quarterer on station 12? Hummmmm? |

For those of you who don't know him, Andy C is a FAL FILES MODERATOR! Translated, that means he AIMS his shotgun. |

Tiny, I'm not so sure that your gun wasn't an 8 bore. You lopped off at least two of those telephone poles on station 7! |

Well I guess I'll chime in. It was a great shoot. Lots of neat guns, a few good shots, and a couple of mechanical problems made it a complete day. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the endless kibitzing of Wingshooter. Any more, I would feel neglected if he didn't give me unmerciful &%## just prior to trigger squeeze.
I wouldn't want it any other way.

Hmmmm, "the endless kibitzing of Wingshooter." It appears Tiny has absorbed some of the lessons of the Master.
