For those of you who may not have been on Terry's email list, I am posting the following:
Hello Everyone,
Sorry for doing a mass email from Dad's account but we figured that this would be the easiest way to let you all know.
On Monday, August 11, 2008 Terry Boyer passed away suddenly from a Heart Attack.
Courtney and I (Gretchen) are currently in Jamestown Kansas dealing with everything. We would like you all to know that we are having him cremated
and are going to have a private family service where we will spread his ashes on some of his favorite hunting grounds. We will be publishing Obitituaries in several papers with information on where to send a Memorial in his Honor. If you would like to contact us our contact information will be listed below.
Once again, sorry to do this in a mass email, but at this time it is the easiest for us. Thank you all for your love and support of our Father over the years.
With Love,
Gretchen & Courtney Boyer

Sorry for your troubles. He will be missed.
Our thoughts and prayers to you and your family, and all of us that have lost a fine spokesman for our sport and our passion.

I just read the e-mail. Terry Boyer was one of the finest gentlemen I have ever known. He will always be remembered for the acts of unselfish generosity and genuine friendliness he bestowed on anyone he met. I only knew him for a little over a year, but we developed an instant camaraderie when we met at the 2007 Flatwater Shoot. We shot clays together, and were planning a hunt this fall. This is indeed a shock to all who knew him.
I will say that the true measure of a man's life is the number of friends he has made while on this earth.
I am proud to be counted in this group. |
