I took my Brit out yesterday to this place. If you're near middle eastern NC or are traveling through that area and are looking for a place to get a hunt in, this place ain't too bad.

Here are some photos of the day. I'll take the 16 BPS there sometime and see how she does.
I plan on going back again. It ain't a five star place, but it is a place with great terrain and hunting opportunity hosted by good old southern hospitality.

Beautiful dog....and it's nice to see a man able to be out with all of his coats and long johns on.

Amen brother. Was out yesterday, with the ice on the snow, sounded like a drum line walking through the fields. Pheasants heard me of course, didn't get within 100 yds of a bird. Saw near 100 birds, but they were having none of it. Wanted to go this morning, but the wind is terrible. Too cold to even get me out. |

It was actually a bit too warm. It neared 70 degrees here yesterday. Today ain't far behind. |

Miss Libby's looking good!
I can smack my brother, he lives in Sanford which is right down the road and he probably doesn't know it's there!
He had a great brittany too, Jake who passed last year.
I've seen the signs for the Anderson Creek Golf Course and never knew the preserve was there! (Sounds like it just opened recently though.)
We're going to have to check it out, looks like their prices are pretty reasonable too. |
