Just got into shotshell reloading and just also bought my first old 16 gauge (Savage 720) with my press I ordered some BPI multi hulls and SP-16 wads. I hunt dove and quail a lot and ducks when I can. Am willing to join low pressure group but would like some recipes a little quicker than the mail will allow. PS I have been reloading centerfire for years. |

Buy a reloading book. My favorite is Lyamn's 5th edition. You can buy a manual from BPI specifically for loading 16 gauge.
My favorite low pressure 1 oz. hunting loads Using the components that you listed are as follows:
BPI hull 1 oz. shot, 21.5 gr Unique, SP16
BPI hull 1 oz.shot, 23 gr. Herco, SP16
BPI hull 1 oz. shot 21.5 gr. universal Clay, SP16
Note:
All loads use Winchester 209 primers. |
