I want to thank Ron Thrash for the help he gave me in acquiring a 16 gauge Marlin 90. I did buy the one I saw on Auction Arms. It turned out to be marked "Ranger" and is in good tight shooting condition, though cosmetically it needs a bit of TLC.

It joins my other two 16 gauges: a Fox Sterlingworth in excellent condition and a German pre-war drilling with a 9.3 X 72 rifle barrel. I think this Marlin will be a great upland gun. It is almost as light a my 20 gauge Franchi Falconet but with the added punch of a 16 gauge.

My biggest problem is with finding 2 1/2" shells for my drilling in #2's, 4's, or 5's. Anyone know where these can be found? The smaller shot sizes are easy to acquire, but not these larger ones.

Mike

Really,
We had 2 Gordon setters that entered our hunt test (Suncoast Bird Dog Association) earlier in the month. One of them scored the most points in the Novice Pointing Dog class. They were classy and stylish bird dogs and the first ones i have seen in several years.

I was just trying to rattle Ron's cage. I own 4 Gordons and have the sister to his dog!

There are some good hunting ones out there.
