16 is my go to pheasant gun. I load for the field and only shoot 16 on the range in some warm ups for the season. |

Maybe 6 target boxes and the rest are hunting loads, for grouse, pheasant and chukker. |

I'm averaging ~300/week this past 4 months with my new Citori. Had my first FTF's last week, pulled and cleaned the firing pins and no problems this evening with firing, but I dropped a pellet into the action and jammed up the bolt half way thru a round of trap. Lol, just as well, been shooting like crap at the trap range, though the sporting clays are doin' fine. I suspect my gun down approach at the sporting clays courses has really messed me up.
Cheers,

Right now, I am shooting about 2,500 to 3,000 rounds at clays a year, Most of that is with my 1100 16 Gauge a few hundred with my Model 37 16 Gauge. Then maybe another 200 or so for hunting, exclusively with my 1100 16 Gauge.
I do shoot quite a few more clays but I am embarrassed to tell you what gauge!! I hope none of you remember |

I shoot my 16s at skeet as well as hunting. I buy a case of 5000 wads off of Graffs every year.

I shoot a few rounds of trap/skeet to warm up for dove season, then perhaps 300 - 400 rounds at the doves. Everything loaded with 7/8 oz. |

I would shoot nearly every weekend if I could afford to. |

I probably shoot about 1200-1500 rounds a year with my 16's --- vintage shoots, practice and bird hunting, etc. But, I normally shoot about 20,000 shotshells a year at skeet.
I have shot 7,400 registered skeet targets already this year and I still have our State Championship Shoot coming up next weekend which will add 500 more.

All 16's, all the time. Club shooting every week March thru August, then in the field aproximately 85-100 days per year + shooting on my small range at home. |

I don't shoot near as much as I used to..
But, I've been shooting less lately, and enjoying it more! I'm currently using my sixteens for everything! The same guns I shoot at birds at in the Fall are used all year for clay targets.. all low gun with light loads. Sure I give up a couple of targets to the O/U boys with target guns, but so be it.
I'm not out to impress anyone with my prowess, or to keep score anymore... I'm just out to enjoy myself with friends..
Mission accomplished! |
