I was looking at the gun production stats on the ATF web site and noticed that in 2003 (the latest stats available) that Ithaca produced 5500 guns. I wonder how many were 16 gage? Would be interesting to know.
Also noticed that CSMC produced a grand total of 123 guns. I would guess that's a pretty good indication of how robust the luxury gun market is! Again, I wonder how many of those were 16 gage? How many were Galazan? A.H. Fox? Model 21? |

Figure an average sale of $20,000 per gun for CSMC and that's $2.46M in new gun sales not including repairs and makeovers and used gun and misc equipment sales. Not too shabby.-Dick |

Hoa,
I do most all my business with a small local shop. He got exactly one 16 gage 1100 and one 870 Express when they became available. Sat on the shelf for a long time before he sold them. I would guess that would be a good indication of how well they are selling. Frankly, I am surprised Remington still lists them at all. |
