I have a new sizemaster. I have several 16ga guns and chamber dimensions differ to the point that I need to resize everything, but the collet resizer does not resize all the way to the rim. There's about a 3/16" section just ahead of the rim that the sizer doesn't touch and this creates a problem in a couple of guns to the point that I can't close them. Does anyone sell a shim to drop in the bottom of the resizer that would raise the shell enough so the collet purchases all of the brass? |

Skeettx,
Thanks. That was it. Don't know if it was a missing part or if I accidently discarded it. I'll be contacting MEC. |

Hello bridgeburner
YEEEEE HAWWWW
Wonderful, pleased to hear of the fast solution
Do you have a sizemaster or supersizer in 12 or 20?
You can use the part from them until you get one from MEC

I just have the sizemaster. As if I already didn't feel as dumb as a rock, I found the shell lifter after I ordered another one from MEC. Oh well. Thanks again. |

Not to worry, your not alone in doing that. And please don't ask me how I know that |

You can adjust the collet resizer if necessary. I had to do it for an old Browning with a very tight chamber. Its in the manual. You loosen a nut on the bottom and turn the collet clockwise a little bit and tighten it up. Then its just a case of trial and error until you get what you want. |

Once you put in the lifter, did it remidy the chambering problem?
Thanks

Ah, yes, the rest of the story. I suppose you want to know what I did with the two boxes of half sized shells? Easy... I removed the primer punch and resized the loaded shells. Worked like a champ. |
