At the local Izaak Walton League five stand championship top honors went to a 16 ga Baker Batavia Leader with second place to a 16 ga Ithaca NID. Both shooting 1oz loads of #8 Winchester Super-X Game loads.
Of course, the guys behind the guns weren't too bad, either.

Nice shooting. I hope you are planning to bring your 16 up to the National Classic Shotgun Festival in Chicago, Illinois on May 17-21st. There are even some special 16 gauge events. Looks like you may be close enough to drive up. www.northbrooksportsclub.org
Best wishes, |

I bet that left a few folks scratching their heads...especially the ones with the brand new $1200 Italian guns... |

That is proof positive that its not the arrow but the indian. Great shooting. 16GG.
PS: not many folks realize that the gun A. Oakley used to beat the best British trap doubles champ at his own game in his own back yard was a 16 ga. SxS double gun using her own reloads. |

Thanks for the infro Hal. DeHaan is sponsoring a special 16g skeet event-everyone attending should give them a big 'thanks' (and buy another 16g or 3)
But do you think we can get 16GG to 'dress to the gun' whatever that means?!? And PLEASE do not post pics. |
