OK Guys,
I realize that this is not a 16 gauge question (I admit to shooting other gauges upon occasion including the big 12), but has anyone seen the Stevens Model 411? It sure looks like a lot of gun for the money. It is a side by side, has a single selective trigger, auto ejectors, a real walnut stock, and choke tubes (which I am not crazy about), and it can shot all of the non toxic shot. I hear they are going to make it in 20 and .410 soon as it is available in 12 ga only for now. It is Russian made. Sells for around $400.
Does anyone know if any current choke tubes of other make are interchangeable w/ it? Maybe w/ some coaxing they could come out w/ a 16 ga version?

The Stevens 411 is no longer on the Savage web site so I suspect it is gone forever. Check out the Remington Spartan/SPR guns which are Russian Baikals. |

I handled one at a show; heavy, as the Baikals are. Might be a good waterfowl gun; I understand they're well built. Never shot one though. |
