Back a few weeks ago, while everyone else was drooling over the 16 ga Beretta at auction, I slipped in the back door, bid on, and won another very clean, almost new looking, 16 ga. GR I Citori. This one was made in 1989, has 26" barrels, and get this, weighs only 6.48 lbs total. The price included a case not mentioned in the posting. Altogether, not a bad deal.
It came in Last Thursday. I tried it at skeet this weekend. Due to obviously light weight wood in the stock, it balances pretty close to my 28" guns. Swingwise, it isn't quite as steady as my 6-3/4 lb 28" models, but will serve for most upland work with a little familiarization. And, its a long tang with just enough figure in the wood to not be boring. Anyway, the prices on used ones are creeping up, but they do pop up fairly regularly. 16GG. |
