This is normally a time of year that we update the site and particularily the listings under GUNMAKERS, CARTRIDGES. The time doing the research stretches into weeks and this year I am behind due to the demands of my real business. When I'm done, I usually find errors, omissions, etc.

This year i've decided that I need some help and alot of you guys are encyclopeadic about the guns, ammo and components. If you have some time take a look at the listings and post on this topic any additions, corrections and deletions. You can talk among yourselves as do it.

I want the site to be current and I'd really appreciate the help.

Thanks in advance, --Doug

I noticed your ammo listing is missing a couple of shells that I know of. Nobel makes a 16 ga load 1 1/16 oz. Check out the loads on www.gzanders.com. I also have seen RIO shells listed from www.grafs.com. The Nobels are from Italy and Rio form Spain.

I have a Spolar loader, which I've used for 12 ga. for a couple of years. Seriously good, albeit somewhat pricey machine. With the hydraulic loading option, I routinely turn out over 900 rounds per hour.

They have recently released a 16 conversion kit for the loader. For those who don't know, Spolars feature a no-fooling 5 minute gauge change with no adjustments required.

Here is a link to their site: http://spolargold.com/

All the best,
Howard

Doug:

Regarding the updates: Anglo American Sporting Agency (dealers in AyA shotguns) now has a web presence. Here is a link:

Well, assuming that July is still "This Time of Year", I've got a shotgun maker that you might like to add:

Mr. Reikers is an excellent gentleman, 'smith and current Shotguns and Shooting columnist for The Covey Rise Magazine, as well as author of "A Trail of Feathers: A Shotgunning Guide ..."

Stoeger (a Benelli brand in the U.S.) offers 16 gauge guns in both SxS and O/U. The guns are made for Stoeger/Benelli in Brazil by E.R. Amantino. They are shown on both the Stoeger website and the E.R. Amantino website. You may wish to add them to your list of 16 gauge gun manufacturers.

I don't know why Bill Hanus should be deleted. He still sells 16ga guns, just not Brownings anymore. Well, I'm sure he would still sell them if Browning still made them...but they had so many problems with O\U lower firing pins and springs...I won't regurgitate that sad story of customer dis-service.

Might I suggest adding:

New Era Ammunition as a supplier of 16 gauge ammunition, including 2.5" low pressure loads.

An add for the Cartridge page would be 16ga Rio and NobelSport shotshells which can be purchased from NatchezSS, MidwayUSA, or AmmunitionToGo.

Rio:
http://www.rioammo.com/Gsub.html

NobelSport:
http://www.nobelsport.it/public/pages/ENG/home.asp

The italian NobelSport webpage does not list the U.S. loads so I am posting a vendor link that has the U.S. products line listed.
