I know this is the 16ga group but there is a lot of knowledge folks here and I am in need of help. Today, I went over to the dark side and bought a 5 lb 15oz cased British 2 1/2" chambered 12 ga. The gun is nitro proofed for 1 1/8 oz. Dose anyone here have any or know where I can find loading data for 7/8 to 1 oz loads. I have the proper shim kit for 2 1/2.
I apologize for asking this question here but am in need.
Cheers/thanks, John |

Hodgdon has a little data for 2 1/2" CHeddite hulls for 3/4 and 7/8 oz.
Just follow the link.
http://www.hodgdon.com/basic-manual-inquiry.html
If you don' t have Cheddite hulls, what do you have? I might have some tested data for you. |

Kent makes some ready to shoot! I think Polywad has some shorties as well. I may have some data for you that I use.
More than willing to help someone smart and sophisticated enough to have a Small Munsterlander. |

If you are looking for Black Powder loads, the loads for a muzzle loading shotgun will work in a 2 1/2 shell. Circle Fly makes a great treated wad which I use in my BP shells both 10 and 12 and soon 16. I shoot cowboy on the dark side. Hop[e this helps.

To those of you who are tired of me posting about all brass hulls, I apologize.
Grouser47, a friend of mine just restored a 16 gauge Parker built on an "O" frame and I talked him into using RMC all brass hulls. The reason is that he can shoot 2 3/4 recipes out of his 2 1/2" chambers, which of course measure 2 9/16". If you choose to use RMC brass hulls they will open up a whole new world of recipes for your 2 1/2" 12 gauge. |
