Heck that might improve my shooting, Sta. 8 would'nt be a problem.
Nick could probabley fix that.

Is that a Remington 11-48? In a 16 gauge? I am looking for one for parts. Let me know. Thanks for sharing. Paul |

yep - it's an 11-48 , 16ga, 28'' full . Was talking to some guys at one of the old clubs and showing them the pink panther . One of em had this gun - couldn't find a barrel so he offered it up . The barrel is still clean despite the bend . The wood is pretty cherry . The receiver will probably end up duracoated . Not for sale - got it for backup parts for the PANTHER . |

How did the barrel bend happen?
Wrapped around the nearest tree like a distraught golfer with his pitching niblick? |

the previous owner got it that way - didn't know how it happened . The curve is smooth with no kinks - should come out ok. |

If it was shooting low, IMO it would have been more effective to have bent the stock or added a pad to the comb. |

That there is a rare collector. Not many people know this but it was a gift to Dick Cheney from his lawyer a couple of years ago at Christmas time... |

how's that - getting a lot closer - may be where I can just adj poi and will be good enough .
it is much better . These will spring back some , so it may change tonight . there is a slight ''S'' to her , but if it goes to poi , I'll leave it . if I can get some professional to fine tune it , I will . |

Bill bring it to the Res , I will bring a bag of shot or a large phone book and show you how to get it straight , that is if it has no kinks in the thing .
Regards, Nick |

You guys better be letting me know when to Moo. I need to get it on my calendar. It wouldn't be a hunting season at all without getting a glimpse of Char in her jammies.

Start hitting it on your spare tire. 30-40 whacks ought to change the point of impact about 3 inches at 30 yards. Do it all the time. |

right now , it's spot on at 25yds . I probably won't do anything till I can get to the res and have Nick opin it . If you look at the pic , it looks like it bends up , but I took that out . If you look between the tiller handles , you can see a soft ''s'' curve - that's what we''ll try to get out . For a backup gun with a barrel that COULD be used , I did ok ! |

You might try a brass musical instrument factory. To put procise bends, straight and flares in the horn they fill the tubing with water and freezew it. The when it is bent or un-bent, the betal is supported and doesn't crack. |
