Well guys, it's the same here in Oregon. I hunt central Oregon on a private ranch every year and the count is down. I am still finding coveys about 3-6 a day, but I've noticed that they are smaller coveys than in the past and have fewer young birds in them. Almost all of the coveys that I find are up on top of the ridges, very few down low. As long as my dog gets good bird work I'm a happy hunter. |
