I have been looking for a 16ga Prussian Lindner made for Charles Daly. There aren't many around. I bought this Daly Model 185 gun a few weeks ago. It was made in the 1920's. Nice original (90%) case colors on the receiver. Has Krupp Steel 28" barrels with ejectors choked R.007 L.015. Weighs 5lbs 12ozs. It's having a dark maroon leather pad installed right now replacing the old red pad in the photo. I can't wait to shoot some birds with this one!

Very cool! Cocking indicators & intercepting safety sears, way neat.

Truly a work of art. |

Drool !
I find the rough similarity of the shape of the side of the action to a Sterlingworth to be interesting (ignoring the scallops of course). Just an observation, not a criticisim. Absolutely beautiful gun. |

I like your new gun and I like your little tag line. "sporting gentleman" you've got the right focus, my friend. |

You have done very, very well. I too like your tag line, although my wife would probably say it would take more than a nice gun to make me a gentleman of any sort. Enjoy your new/old prize! |

Great find. These are among the finest double gun actions in the world - superb boxlocks, with long action bars that minimize strain on the bolting system, tremendous workmanship. I go cool on most of the German guns, but the Lindner Dalys are a big exception.
Congratulations. |
