Mike

congrats. When I got laid off I considered retireing but I went to work in a Dallas area gunshop and I am really happy I did. I am not ready to be at home all the time.

Regards, Gordon

Home? Home??

My wife is not used to seeing me between 5 AM and 5 PM and I intend to
keep it that way.

Up, go to the gym, do the routine, shower and shave at the gym, go shooting, fishing, hunting, etc. Visit hospitals, pawn shops, flea markets etc.

In spare time, list a lot of EXCESS on Gun Broker and EBAY. Try to get under 200 guns, a large task

The shop behind my house does not count as home. I will cast bullets, reload ammo, make guns etc.

On Tuesday morning at 10 I will open the skeet range to shoot until Noon.
On Thursday evening at 3PM I will open the skeet range to shoot until I get ready to close it.

If the wife needs me, she will call me, other than that I am to stay gone and play.

Should work?????
Mike

HI Mike,

Congratulations!!

The problem with retired folks, is that folks like me at 54, can't hang around with you too much, we start having hallucinations of being retired ourselves.

Here's to a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng and Happy retirement.

Please tell us how much you are shooting every now and again, I like hearing about my future!!

You are 100% correct as regards time at home. I went back to work because the house got to small with both of us in it.

Much better to keep YOURSELF busy and out of sight.

Congrats Mike - you are entering the Busy zone ! More reloading = more shooting time . My wife sez I'm never home and I only try to target the morning when she's sleeping to be gone - maybe it sometimes extends to the aft ! ... Mark , you can do it - I've been ret 7 yrs in may and won't be 60 till this fall , you need to get some extended time in Nebraska'. (and the RES)
