Snails, Tried snails once, very good wish more places offered them but alas east Texas is a gastronomical (sp) purgatory unless all you like is mexican, catfish, and barbecue.

Like larry am learning to shoot the Charlin, It's so light it really kicks. I did discover the buttstock is hollow. Guess I need to try and find some lighter loads, probably spreader. Tried my first round of sporting clays with itand talk about a humbling experience!! Maybe better next time..

What pray tell is wrong with cat fish??? A nice white table wine, of french decent(or a box of ripple), a baggett with heavy garlic butter, what could be better. BTW after stink bait, isn't snails the attractant of choice for cat fish?? So by default , if your eating catfish, your eating snails.

Catfish, nothing wrong with catfish, love it, barbecue also turning totally anti mexican lately. Do like a bit of variety, esp a nice brie and a cognac or armanac.

The few frog shotguns I have seen or have have been very nice!

I was just reading through this thread and I see revdocdrew gives me a mentoin .how did I get into this bun fight?

You know me I only shoot English guns!

I have a wonderful memory of standing in the middle of the carrige on the Fast train from London to Paris 200 mph wow.I always used to travel with a large plastic wine glass ,an aged bottle of shiraz and a cork screw in my shoulder bag.well standing in the carrage with a full glass of wine doing 200 mph and nary a ripple except when I took a drink. An engineering masterpiece and a great way to travel.

good shooting

English shotguns are a bit pricy in this part of the world. My French consist of a 28 Ga Darne, and the 16 ga Charlin., and I must say there is really nothing else like the smoothness of that sliding breech.

Not that I mind the traditionl break open, Have a Nice Parker, an Ithaca Sks sxs I picked up in a rod & gun club when in Turkey back in erly 70's
and a nice Gruella sxs 20 ga, ie English copy, really like them all

Conversation was fun
