Question I have recently purchased a nice older nitro in original condition and am going to have it restored to new.Need advise on whom to send it to for the case color hardening on the receiver and rust bluing of the barrels. Am leaning towards Turnball, any thoughts and advise would be greatly appreciated. Wink

For your rust blue you might use Charles Danner in Tennessee. He does good work with a timely turn around. His phone number is 913-433-3276. I send him barrels after I polish them and his price is very reasonable.

Turnbull is always good for case colors.

Regards, Gordon

BTW, that area code is 931, not 913. Wink

Will you want the ribs re-soldered? I have a couple of Nitro Specials and the ribs were loose here and there. The best rib work I have seen is done by Kirk Merington in Kerrville TX. He also rust blues. Also try Arts Gunshop.

The only reason that I noticed it is that I know 913 is in Kansas City MO.
