I shoot 3 boxes of Winchester Game Loads yesterday for the first time and that has got to be the cleanest burning powder I have ever seen. I checked the barrels last night and the gun did not even look like it had been fired. Does anyone know what powder this is. These were current production shells from Australia, bought at Kmart, Cheddite hulls, etc.

Thanks,

The last box of WW 1 ounce loads I shot strue confetti-like ejecta all over the place. Has that changed--have they done away with the old cardboard wads for a plastic one piece wad? If so, what is it?

16gg,

These shells definitely had a plastic wad in them. While shooting a few rounds of skeet and 5 stand with them, I did witness an occasional wad flying toward the target right before it shattered. Mr. Green

Like I said above, I ran at least a hundred rounds thru the gun and the barrels did not even look like they had been fired. Remington rounds never leave the barrels looking like that.

16gg Winchester discontinued the old fiber wad round when they went off shore for their 16 gauge ammunition production.

Now they use the well respected Cheddite hull and the Gualandi 1621 wad.

Good ammunition.
