Will a stock from a 12 or 20 ga fit my 16 ga?? My 90 DT does not fit me very well and I was thinking about a custom stock. But after reading the thread on the other forum there is no way I am spending that much. Be better off buying a new gun. Since I just had this gun refinished last summer, I am not too keen about filing down the comb. I need more drop at comb and at heel. So I was thinking about buying another Marlin 90 and play with the stock to see if I can get a better fit. Since 16 ga do not come around too much, I was thinking about trying another gauge. If I can get my Marlin to fit, and have same POI as my Beretta autos I will be golden.
I fear the stock may be too old to have it bent.
Thoughts?? Thanks |

Marlin used the same down-sized frame for both the 16 ga. and 20 ga. Model 90's. Therefore, I would think that a 20 ga. stock would fit a 16 ga. since they are made with the same frame.
I have several 20 ga. and 16 ga. Model 90's. While there are some differences in the amount of drop, the stocks on my guns are actually pretty consistant. |

depending on what your idea of a custom stock is , I would CALL Macon Gunstocks and see what they've got . If it's just a plain field stock , they may have one sitting there ready to go I got a semi fancy for my 31 and I think it was 70 bucks . I put finish on it right out of the box , it was machined that good ! |
