Think I have tried most, but I like the old Win540 &/or HS6 for hunting loads in old CF hulls and like Unique for a lighter 7/8 - 15/16 clays load. For clays I am able to throw same charge for Federal, new style & old (worn) CF Win & Rem black hulls and get very consistent & competitive results. Am using 20/28 in those gauges and wonder if anyone likes it for 16 ... or maybe Longshot for hunting. What say you????

Nothing scientific, but I tend to like (visually) the patterns using SR7625 from my WinCF 1oz. loads.

Longshot for hunting loads, will use Universal on occasion but mainly for practice.

I load all gauges with e3, Green Dot, Longshot and L-Gun. I have tons of all four. In the 16 bore I've been loading Green Dot and Longshot I will start loading e3, some time this month. I have 18lb of e3 and can't shoot the Remington 1100 12ga any more go figure.

SR4756 and Trail Boss are the powders that I load for hunting and Unique is my favorite target powder.

For the lighter 16 loads (3/4,7/Cool I like Green Dot although several that say American Select provides similar performance w/cleaner burning. For heavier (1, 1 1/Cool I like 540 if the hull and wads are compatible, otherwise I use a courser grain powder- Unique comes to mind.

I have been using Win. 571 with my old Emerald green and ruby red Remington hulls (with 57 primers). This is good for my 1 1/8 and 1 1/4 oz. loads. Lighter loads are Universal, International and Clays with a mixture of Win CF , Fed, and Remington hulls while matching Win 16AA wads, and the Sporting/SG16 with the best hulls. Most of my target loads are 1 oz. They all seem to work fine for there purposes.

I'm using American Select in both 2.5" 3/4 and 7/8 oz. loads. It seems to do the trick.

Most favorite. SR7625

Solo 1250 I still have about 16 #. Don't know what I'm going to do when its gone. Makes up some nice low pressure loads in just about any hull.

7/8 oz. loads- Green Dot
1 oz. loads- Unuique
1 1/8 oz. loads- W571

I use the discontinued W571 only because I still have about 1 1/2 pounds I am trying to use up before it gets any older.
