They will work but you will have a more efficient load if you use the Gualandi 1621 for 7/8th and one ounce loads and the Gualandi 1618 for 1 1/8th ounce loads in the Fiocchi hull. The Gualandi wad measures .661 +/- and the R16 measures .633 +/- and was designed for the Remington SP/Black Promo hull which is a bit smaller interior diameter than the Fiocchi and Cheddite hulls.

Another wad that works in the Cheddite type hulls is the B&P wad. Its even better than the Gualaundi. However, both wads have limited outlets now. Graf's is out of the Gualaundi wads and does not carry the B&P wad. the other two reloading specialty houses that do charge a stiff price for either.

The R16 will work in any shell. However, you will have to modify your powder charges to get a good pressure curve and burn rate in those shells with a bigger I.Diameter. Also avoid small finely grained bal powders. Use flake or disc powders and a firm wad seating pressure. This will help stop powder migration.

I have used the R-16 very successfully in Fiocchi cases. 20 grains of Unique with the R-16 in both one ounce loads and with a 1/4" 28 gauge card wad in the base of the wad for 7/7th ounce loads. The one ouncers chrono at 1150 FPS and the 7/8th ounce around 1220 FPS.

Stay away from small grain powder and you will be ok-otherwise migration will give you many bloopers at the wrong time Embarassed Rolling Eyes
