At my age there are not many surprises left in life. A couple of months ago I had one; when I opened one of my gun safes and found a 12 gauge VHE Parker I had forgotten I owned. Have since sent it off to Larry Del Grego for a little work and should have it back any time now.
On Friday last I noticed, on top of a storage shelf behind a calendar, a clay target carton buried under a black plastic trash bag which turned out to be full of old style AA hulls. Since I reload STS and Nitro 27 hulls, they will go to the club for sale.
The clay target box contained about 500 Federal purple 16 gauge paper based hulls. I was previously pondering where I was going to find more of them when the last 200 I was reloading were gone. Problem solved and surprise enjoyed. Ain't life grand??? |

YEEE HAWWW
Wonderful news
Thanks for sharing
I, also, am getting older and trying to thin down my mountain of hulls.
It is a tough job, but currently, I am up to the task.

Last evening I went to a Derby de Mayo dinner and got to meet the man that gave me 5 bags of #9 shot a couple of weeks ago. He gave me them through his friendship with the host at the dinner. Today at 2 PM I got a call from one of the guys at the gun club wanting to trade off some 7.5 shot for the #9. Pretty good Sunday, I think. |

Sounds like a good week, not just a good day.
I often live by an old saying: "If you leave problems to their own devices, a lot of times they solve themselves." It's a lot easier than trying to fix everything all the time. |

It's much better to find something you forgot about than to look for something you traded/sold/swapped for --- --Don't feel like the Lone Ranger on this one. |
