Our IWLA chapter buys Rio shells for members pretty cheaply, dealing in multiple pallets. Unfortunately, it's all 12 or 20 gauge. I see many people using it for winter league, so I guess it works. No experience with the ammoseek people.

For the last several years Rio brand ammo has been available at some of the gun clubs I frequent- but as noted, it's only available at these ranges in 20 & 12, so I generally only buy it when I don't have ammo and am shooting a 12 or 20; which isn't very often, but my limited sampling indicates they are on a par with other practice grade ammo.

Hi, I'm Mike Miller from AmmoSeek.com. I just wanted to jump in here to mention that we do not sell ammo at all. I'm basically just a programmer who (along with a colleague) saw a need a service that will help you find the lowest prices for ammo at various retailers around the net. The service is, and will remain, free of charge.

Having said that, we do not vouch for any of the retailers we list -- many do not even acknowledge our existence. But if we receive a lot of complaints about any one retailer, we'll remove them from our roster.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hope this helps.

Rio uses steel instead of brass if I'm not badly mistaken and it does swell more than brass.I tried to shoot it in my sxs and it swelled so much that the ejectors couldn't extract them from the chamber,FYI,you might want to try a box first before buying at case quantities to make sure your gun likes them ok

The currrent issue of Shooting Sportsman magazine has a pretty interesting story about the company that makes RIO and their factories and procedures. It sounds first class. They make everything to include primers and powder but not the shot in house. And sell a lot of componants to outside, and unnamed, manufacturers. I was leery of using them, but now will give them a try.
