Thuddd despite my Scotish origins I just can not handle the whisky. Much perfer the seven year old sour mash from Lynchberg.

As for Swisher Sweets now you have conjured up memories of my high school days. Not too fond by the way.

My experience with them was less than ideal, found the shot allthough nickel plated, seemed soft. I did not get good results on the pattern board or on game. In fact one of my buddies nicknamed them polio shells.

As I mentioned, I've never bought a box of the Golden Pheasant loads. I'm wondering if the wad they use is that same short cupped Gualandi wad that Graf's and BPR sell. Would one of the guys who dissect them for the shot let us know what the wad looks like. I'd appreciate it.

If it is the short cupped Gualandi wad, then I can understand why the 1-1/8 ounce loads don't pattern well at longer ranges for some folks. The load would pattern better if all the shot was enclosed by the shot cup.
