She's 16, and easy on the eyes Wink

I recently purchased (from Bird Buster) a very slightly used Verona LX501, made by F.A.I.R. She's built on a 16ga frame, has 28" barrels, screw-in chokes, and is in mint condition. She has a silver receiver with nice engraving (looks like a woodcock on one side and grouse on the other, with a bunny on the bottom), very nice wood, and the fit & finish (metal-to-metal & metal-to-wood), are excellent!

This is my first doublegun and she feels perfect between the hands, shoulders effortlessly, and fits like a glove. Now, I just need to find some time to get down to the range and feed her some shells.

nossman,
You had me worried there for a minute. Especially with that first line in your description. Very Happy

Congrats on your purchase. Yes, I would say she wants to go to the range. Wink

Darn it.

Mine are all 75 years or older and some of their barrels even jiggle when you tug on them.

And lose on their face! We don't even want to go there.

Congrats on your new addition Nossman.

Yesterday was my first chance to get down to the range with my new girl and I was able to confirm a couple of things.
1) She rocks!
2) I suck at skeet.

Now the sucking at skeet part could be due to the fact that I've never spent much time on a 'skeet range' , or just the fact that last summer was the first time I've picked up a shotgun in about 15 years. Sold my old 20ga thinking I'd be fine with the deer rifle & hand gun. Funny how a new dog and time can change your mind. Anyway, I had fun, and the Verona. She is light, fits like a glove (better than the old 20ga), and swings smooth. And, she looks good too! I think I'm going to try sporting clays. That looked interesting!

Yup, sporting clays is fun but can humble you rather quickly depending on the course. Very Happy
