Went to the Indianapolis gun show today. Not much to report. Seen this boat oar that had Ithica 16ga. I asked the dealer is this a flues and he said yes. Well I told him I think I know where there might be some shooters stranded at the skeet ranges at certain stations and think they might get moving out of calm water if the had the paddle. Couldn't talk him down past 495.00 What gives is this a good or bad price for a itcheka.

$495 sounds like a pretty good price for 'bout any shootable 16ga. these days. 'Course, from your description (boat oar), maybe it wasn't shootable?

Actually it was in very good shape. From what I could tell the bores look very good inside but it need the bores cleaned. The reciever I would say was 80 to 85 percent and the outside blueing on the barrels would be 90 percent. The stock was in fare shape also,

I'm sorry, what was it that you were complaining about? Very Happy

BTW, gas, food, electrcity, cars, homes, washing machines, etc. have all increased in price over they past year and a half. You need to get out of the cave/bunker more often..... Laughing

That's a good price for a Flues. Potential problems with them are too much drop in the stock, making them hard to shoot modern style; and the gun almost certainly has short (2 9/16") chambers.

If I run across that dealer again I'll pick it up and someone on the society can purcchase it for what I give for it. He may take a little less.

Hmmmm Merkeljerks. I must have missed that one.

It does have a nice ring to it don't you think.

I can see the next add campaign from the boys from Shul.

"You can be a Merkeljerk too......just like the famous Thuddd and TJC".

This add is sponsored by Bavarian Iron and Pipe Works. Our moto is we are just a bit Krappier than Krupp.
