You have to special order them through Recob's.
They are $135.95 for a case of 5000 + shipping. I've been waiting for my portion of the current order since March, so this is not the way to go if you're in a hurry.
Good luck.
Jim

Suppose there will actually be 5000 to a case this time. Was that resolved from the last order? |

I certainly hope so. both Recob's and I did all we could. Remington made up the shortage. However, I'd count out 500, weigh them enmass to the nearest tenth of an ounce, then multiply by 10. This will be the total weight of 5000. Weigh the entire bunch in lots of 500 by weight. you will not have to count them again this way if your first count is accurate. If the total 10 lots' net weight is within a few ounces, you are fine. You will know you've been shorted if the last bag of wads is very light.
Be sure to tare out the bag or box you weight them in. This was Remington's mistake. They forgot to tare out the boxes they shipped the wads in. Please be accurate on your count and your weighings too. Registering a complaint on false data will probably screw up the works for future purchases.
Let Recob's know if the weight comes up light. However, Remington was given the correct weight of 5k R16 wads plus or minus 1/10 of a percent. They have the knowledge to do it right this time. Just check on them to be safe. I hope they get it right this time.
PS: please don't try weighing them on a powder scale. you will be a long time getting it done. |
