Have a standard A5in 16ga and wonder if the composite stock for the standard 20ga A5 will inter-change?
Thanks. |

I had a heck of a time getting a Browning "Stalker" composite 12 gauge stock onto a 1952 Belgian A5 Browning 12. It's on there, but, it took me most of a week to do it, and there was a pile of plastic on the floor when it was done. The original stock, which I still have, had about an 11" LOP on it, and I couldn't use it.
I tried an aftermarket stock of some sort first, but, it was a real POS-the Stalker stock was a much better built piece.
All that being said, the gun is a wonderful rainy day and cold weather gun. I have the original solid rib barrel, and two Hastings barrels for the gun, one a 26" vented rib with choke tubes, the other a 32" "Wad Lock" choke tube barrel with a vented rib. Not much I can't do with it, except load 16 gauge shells.
Good Luck.
Best,

The A5 16 and 20 gauge wood buttstocks are the same size, so they will interchange. I don't know about the plastic versions.

Where did you find a 20 gauge composite stock for an A-5? I've never even seen a picture of one. |
