holy Crap...now they're falling out of the trees. A year ago you could not find them under rocks. I guess the fact that we can order them in quantity is flushing all the hoarded lots out of the basements, attics, and garages where they've been hiding all these years. Well, thats good too. Nothing like free wads to gladden a reloader's heart.
FYI, the R16 was THE STANDARD one ounce 16 ga. wad long before the AA16 existed. It was used in just about every 16 ga hull that existed from the beginning in the mid 1960's. Even Winchester published data for its use in their hulls prior to when they released the AA16 for sale. It has also been used for decades for 3/4 and 7/8 ounce loads with 28 ga filler wads in the shot cup.
The R16 can be used in any data calling for a WW16 wad, because it generates less pressure. so load them up to your heart's content and bang away. However, be sure to save some for 3/4 and 7/8 ounce loads. They work perfectly and will make any light weight 16 a joy to shoot without the recoil of standard hunting shot charges.
