Saw a citori the other day with 28" ported barrels and 5 briley extended tubes very good condition. What do you guys think its worth. The ported barrels concern me. Also has fiber optic sights which I don't care for. 16 gauge of course. |

If I opine its worth less than one without porting, someone sure as hell is gonna say its worth more. I'd pass unless you get it at a very, very good price. Porting on a game gun is like steer horns on a Caddy-- its a load of bull. |

I thought the porting should hurt the value also. I don't need another citori and I would use it strictly for skeet and sportingclays. only an american classic SxS will do in the field for me. I just have a hard time walking away from a sixteen when I see one. I'm thinking $950ish. They want $1250 cash price. |

Ask them how much it would cost to weld up the holes and reblue the barrel? |

Sounds like someone built themselves a nice Sporting Clays gun. |

$1250 seems about market price. $200 worth of chokes included is nice as well. I wouldn't be sick overy not picking it up, if you could get it for $950 I'd say that's definitely a good deal. |

Sporting clays gun? Here is a recipe for a nice sporting clays gun. Buy one Browning XS 12 gauge with 30-32" barrels, factory ported, add one Pachmeyer pre-fitted Decelerator pad after removing the "Browning Brick" that comes stock on the gun, toss in a liberal bunch of 24 gram 1200 FPS loads, and have fun. Keep the 16 for informal skeet and hunting w/o the holes in the barrel thank you. |

Gotta watch out for those bore worms. Be sure to spray some industrial strength insecticide in your gun safes! For some reason, they only eat holes in the muzzle end of the barrels, and they almost never attack side by sides. |

Not so fast there, I've seen a few. Most folks who would do that to a decent SxS are probably on the same mental level as a bore worm but what can you do. There is another way, REDUCED LOADS!!! DUH!!! |

I agree with the longer barrels and Decelerator pad. I just had one put on my Feather 16 ga for shooting trap and SC. But I "ain't" gonna let any worms bore into my barrels. |
