Been lurking a while and joined today. Thanks for all the info from everyone that is a regular. I remember seeing a 16 ga pump for the first time and wanting one ever since, was maybe 15. Took a few years then finally got one and it has been love eversince, now I look for them all the time. First time i shot a 16 was as a 10 yr old kid on a mississippi farm visiting relatives(single shot stevens or higgins i think), never knew there was anything other than 12 and 20 at the time. My go too shotgun is now my 16 ga J.C. Higgins model 20 in modified. Has the smoothest and shortest pump of any shotgun i have owned. |

You have a nice shotgun, I always liked those. Mine is an old Remington 870 with choke constriction relieved to .010. |

Welcome! There are a lot of guys on this site that really know their stuff. I have learned much. Your JC Higgins Model 20 is a really good gun. I have my Grandfathers. I believe this shotgun is underrated. Enjoy. Regards RB |
